Cleaning equipment favorites

Updated: May 2, 2023

Hey everyone! Below is a list of essential cleaning equipment favorites.

You can check them out in my Amazon wishlist.

Handheld vacuum cleaner

I have had this handheld vacuum cleaner since I began adulting many years ago and had a small home.

It was a quick and effective way to clean up my home and furniture.

Now, I use this for my car.

Esqube 360 spin mop bucket

This mop-bucket set offers a super-absorbent mop that can help you access all the house's difficult areas like under the refrigerator, bathroom & other corners. The telescopic handle can be adjusted from 45 to 180 degrees for more comfortable cleaning.

Cordless vacuum cleaner

My absolute favourite, easy-to-use vacuum cleaner. I did not have a budget for the Dyson handheld one so I opted for this. It's simple to use with a boost option as well and with 2 cats, I use it on my furniture, my curtains, mats, and carpets and it picks up on cat litter pellets, cat hair, human hair and dust as well.

Extendable tile scrubber

This tile scrubber by Oxo is essential in cleaning my bathroom. Picks up grime and soap stains easily from tiles, glass and hard-to-reach corners. The anti-microbial scrub is abrasive for deep cleaning and retains water for rinsing and the head can be easily replaced.

Heavy-duty scrubbing brush

Similar to the Oxo scrubber, I use this handheld one to clean my stone tops, sinks, bathtubs and any grimy surfaces in my bathroom.

The IKEA Black Toilet brush

Nothing fancy or special about this brush, except that it is black in colour.

The quality of the brush bristles and handle, I feel, is much better than regular generic brands.

Multipurpose hand wiper

I use this wiper in multiple areas of the house, for my door and windows, for my car, and even for my kitchen top and sink.

Floor wiper

For those of us with small bathrooms or showers or those of us who have spouses and children who flood the entire bathroom after they take a shower, this product is for you.

One swipe and the floor is well-dried.

Sponge cloths

My all-time favourite when it comes to cleaning up is the super absorbent sponge cloths. Whether it be for a quick wipe or to gather a spill or even for dusting. They are also good substitutes for magic erasers and these damp cloths can be rubbed on your furniture fabric to pick up pet hair and dander.

Kitchen towels

Kitchen towels are an absolute if you are actively using your kitchen. I always keep one as decor, hanging on my oven door and two spare ones for everyday use.

They are machine washable and super soft and water absorbent.

Refillable spray bottles

If you, like me either prefer to use refillable tablets or your own witchy concoctions for making cleaning solutions, these bottles are a must-have. They are standard 500ml size bottles and look aesthetic when properly labelled.

Click here to check out the refillable cleaning tablets I use in these bottles.

Dish scrubber with soap dispenser

This multi-purpose soap brush is a good tool for household cleaning. With a comfortable silicone handle, it can be used to clean your kitchen or bathroom. It comes with replaceable heads to avoid cross-contamination of surfaces.

Disposable Toilet Bowl Cleaning Brush

Everybody is raving about the new Clorox disposable toilet cleaner wands but does nobody mentions how expensive they are (at least where I live)

These disposable wands are a good alternative to the Clorox cleaning wands and I will continue to buy these for a long time.
